I send copy of May - with the
donation acknowledged =
Mrs Hale
Some days since I sent
a note to Treas. of the Episcopal
Mission Board requesting him
to send word to you the particulars
of the money in question
Being in the vicinity of
Bible House I called & learned
that Mr Aspinwall the treasurer
had received my note & read it
but could not learn he had replied
to it I requested the [gent.?]
in charge to write you all
facts in the case -
I learn from him that
they announce special
donations in their May
[?] & there the persons named
[draw?] on them for the [amt?]
this it seems Mrs Boone
may not have noticed &
has not drawn on treas
for the amt -
I presime [presume] the amount
is still in their hands
and will be subject to
further orders - but on
this point I am not
advised - If you wish
the money returned I
presume he would return
it if not sent forward
through them - Exchange
is so high they are not
sending notes - I write
this in great haste to
inform you of the facts as
far as known to me -
I presime [presume] you
hear from the Treas
soon Yours Truly
in great haste RS Wyckoff
