My dear Mrs. Hale
Many thanks for
your kind letters and the copies of
foreign [?] enclosed, which I should
have acknowledged earlier, had I not been
so pressed with Society business. The
letters from abroad will furnish a very
valuable addition for our April "Link."
I have written unofficially to Mr.
Halwell asking various questions I am
desirous of learning about before presenting
his application to our, Board, at
its March Monthly Meeting. I think
favorably of [both?] that & Mrs. [?] [Meter's?]
application received through Mrs.
Boardman.
I think the Society is
gaining new friends and I want to
expand in proportion in heathen lands.
My Mother's health is extremely
delicate this winter, but I trust our
Heavenly Father will long preserve her
valuable life.
With kind regards from her,
believe me respectfully yours
