Text
Boston, March 7. 1830.
My dear Son-.
I have not had a good
opportunity to send you any books
since I last wrote, nor do I think any
will occur till the steamboats begin
their trips. I have sent papers and
one pamphlet, and now forward two
others with this letter by a gentleman
going to New York who will put them
in the mail.
The packet of books I sent were
consigned to the care of Paul Spofford, Esq,
he is a merchant under the firm of [Tighman?]
Spofford & Co. - I think that is the firm. If any
of the Cadets visit the city you can send by
them to make enquiries respecting the
gentleman. they will find his name in the
Directory, and perhaps the books [are?]
now in his care. In great haste
Your Mother.
