The full size version of this sculpture is a 37-foot high, 27-ton bronze figure of William Penn (1644 - 1718) atop Philadelphia's City Hall. English colonist William Penn, a member of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers), founded the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
